Study little chair

This portable chair is quite the study little thing. I must say it wasn't what I was expecting. It's really small. For some perspective I am a 5' tall (fluffy 😊) woman. If you were too much taller than I, I think you'd be very uncomfortable. Likewise although it's made quite sturdier than expected maybe stay 10-15lbs under the 200lb weigh limit, just to be sure.

I think it would be absolutely perfect for youth in it's size and the ability to stay sturdy as they grow. I could see it holding up to my active boys when they were preteens.

High-end, quality folding chair

This is a well-made, high-quality folding chair that you can take just about anywhere. Perhaps a bit too heavy for wilderness backpacking, though certainly handy for any stationary camping trip or ball park field. Might take a bit of breaking in however the legs and extendible struts were easy to assemble.

Awesome chair. Its Perfect.

MTRVR Compact Folding Camping Chair for Backpacking with Carrying Bag,

Suitable up to 200 LBS, Quick Setup,Aluminum a construction, Lightweight and Portable

Easily to setup fast, and just as easy to take down just
The same.

The only notable hmmmmm-factor. After the chair
Al set up and you're sitting it, its
Has a little side to side wobble, even with a 4 fit planted. But, still very functional.

Overall comfortable. It's is lightweight and folds away on a compact easy to fold up profile.

I will be using this chair for my work travels in the field. I travel weekly for work and always bring a folding stool. This chair will replace that stool. It's light weight and compact and will fit easily into my suitcase
Without adding much or if any weight.

This is a great little chair. The setup is smooth and easy. The support arms glide and click into place nicely. However, the last one is also a bit snug than the first three. But still easily manageable and clicks into place with little effort. Very good. Very nice design and engineering concept for a very successful build. Good selection in material and constructed to last and supportive. It holds up nicely and structural sound and mostly stable, other than the little wobble mentioned earlier.

It's is on the expensive side, but overall very good. I do recommend for quality and build. But not for the price point. I take away one star for the price. But I do really like this chair for its compact-ability, Lightweight, small footprint, and easy to pack into a suitcase for traveling.

Easy setup, easy store, sturdy

The MTRVR Lightweight Portable Camping Hiking Chair for Adults with Carry Bag comes in a very good storage bag that makes it easy to store in a vehicle for the occasional use. The hiking chair sets up easily and is just as easy to take down and store in the storage bag. The char is very sturdy with a strong fabric seat. The chair says its for an adult and with a 200 pound capacity it will hold an adult. The height of the storage char is quite low to the ground, which is a problem for me getting up from the position you are in sitting in the char.
I would not order the chair again.

Convenient Packable Chair

I do projection work as part of my role as a motion designer, and there are tons of times where I'm up in equipment lofts or outside waiting for something or someone to happen. I picked up the MTRVR Lightweight Folding Camping Chair to see how it would work for me.
I like the metal construction and the deep nylon chair pocket fits the frame well. It has a nice carry case, and I can either bungee-cord it or hump it with a backpack on site as part of my setup.
I'm about 150 lbs which is within the safe 200 lbs limit, but I gotta say that there really is no back support. I keep wanting to lean back in it and you will either topple over or have a stiff back. I've tried leaning forwards in it, and I just need to figure out where my perfect spot is for this chair.
I gotta say this is better than sitting on the ground, but it's not perfect.

medium-small camp chair

I needed a new camp chair after mine had an unfortunate left-out-in-a-hurricaine accident. I don't use folding chairs all that often, but occasionally I need one for a festival or car camping or the like. This chair would be good for certain users (like me) and not great for some others.

What this chair is for:
--Times when you need to carry a chair a short/medium distance from your vehicle.
--Leaving a chair in your car in case you unexpectedly need one.
--People with very little storage space.
What this chair is not for:
--Hiking long distances - it's not small or lightweight enough to be good for backpacking.
--Using every weekend to watch your kid play soccer - you're going to want something more comfortable with armrests, cup holders, maybe a footrest or canopy :D
--Use by large or tall humans

The chair sets up and breaks down easily. It was a tad confusing at first because the instructions indicate that the back poles of the chair telescope up two times, making them substantially taller than the front of the chair. I could not for the life of me find the second telescoping portion at first, but it is there, it's just hidden. Once you know how it folds and unfolds, it is simple enough to do. The chair is fairly low to the ground, which isn't an issue for me since I'm short. I think it would be hard for someone who is tall to get in and out of and would be less comfortable as well. When paired with the relatively low weight limit of 200 lbs, this chair is best for short/smaller adults or children. The metal parts feel pretty durable for what they are, the seat fabric is a bit thin and I worry it might rip if poked by anything. It is reasonably comfortable. I haven't sat in it for a long time and I suspect that it may press on the back of my thighs after a while - this isn't a chair for hours of sitting every weekend - but for short stints it's totally fine. It felt stable sitting in it on a flat floor, even when leaning back a bit or leaning forward, but is a little tippier than some folding chairs due to the design that comes together toward the bottom. There is one hanging pocket on the side that would be good for keys or maybe a small water bottle. Finally, the chair comes with a pretty nice carrying case with slightly padded sides. I was able to get the chair back into the carrying case easily after folding it myself (it's a pet peeve of mine when a carrying case only fits until the first time you use a product). I agree with one other reviewer that the case adds a bit of bulk to the chair, but if you're concerned about a few cm here and there, this might not be the chair you want anyway.

Conclusion - This is a great chair for certain use cases and for that I ranked it 5 stars. Use common sense to determine if you're the type of person this chair is designed for or if you need something bigger or smaller and you should be happy with your purchase.

Low Seat Back, but Ultra Small and Lightweight

If you are planning on going to a remote location to camp out in the wilderness and you plan to hike there with a backpack, this might be the one camping chair you might want to bring. Here are some pros and cons to consider.

Pros:
- Extremely lightweight. It is very very light.
- When folder into its own carrying and storage case, it hardly takes up much space at all. It is about an arm's length long and about a palm's width wide.
- Although it does not have a tall seat back, it does offer a somewhat comfortable seating position given its small size and light weight.

Cons:
- For those who prefer a full sized camping chair, this might not be the one for you. Its main limitation is that it does not have a tall seat back.

Overall, despite the main limitation described above, this is a nice camping chair that is light, small and suitable for extended wilderness camping trips.

Campground Camp Chair. Not Ultra Light.

We are trying to find functional, yet smaller campground camp items for when we campground camp. Our kids are getting bigger so their camp chairs need upgraded. This chair will be for one of them. I, however, sat in the chair for reference--5'4" 170 pounds.

It was easy to set up and take down AND fit back in its bag. It feels a tad too heavy for backpacking, but will be great for campground camping.

Well designed compact portable chair

This portable chair is really well-designed and constructed. The fabric is nice, seems durable and is double-stitched everywhere and edged. There reinforcement of the corners is very strong. And the chair supports slide open and closed with ease. The ONLY thing I don't like is that in order to retract the supports, it utilizes little metal push buttons. I had to deduct a star because of that. I hate those things because they're so hard on your fingers and I have a really hard time pushing them in enough to release the supports. I actually had to use the end of a skinny pen to push them in.

It's quite comfortable and feels really sturdy when you're sitting in it. I'm a small female, so it's easy for me to say that. When my husband tried it out (he's 6' tall and just under the max weight of 200 lbs), he liked it, but felt it was a little undersized for someone his size. So the chair is probably best for people in the smaller to average range.

When the chair is set up, it's light weight. I can lift it effortlessly with one hand. When you fold it up into its compact size for travel/storage, though, it *feels* weightier than you might expect -- probably not a great choice for hiking, but it's perfect for things like camping, sporting events, going to a parade, etc.

Undoubtedly the best camping/outdoor seating!

This thing is the best folding camping chair that i've ever owned. It is extremely well built and feels very secure. It is as heavy as the old fashioned folding camping chair about half the size when folded. The chair is very comfortable and tall enough for a 5'8, 200lbs chubby guy to relax and enjoy. If I could give it a higher rating i definitely would. Worth every penny!

Sturdy, but not for load weight-conscious campers/hikers

It's a sturdy foldable chair in a handy compact bag.
But for me, it's too high to sit in and too heavy to carry around.

Pros:
- When folded, it's compact in a handy carrying bag.
- It's sturdy.

Cons:
- Personally, too heavy to carry around when hiking, etc.
- Personally, too high to sit in. Its height is not adjustable.
- The base poles not very stable.
- Requires a lot of force to stretch the nested poles.
- Not very easy to retract/shorten the poles. I had to use a pen to push in the protruding pins in the poles.

I was looking forward to receiving this camping chair, but got a little disappointed due to the above cons overweighing the cons. Still the idea of a foldable compact chair is very nice.
Good luck in improving this foldable camping chair!
Thank you for letting me review this product.

Sets up and folds down easy!

I have many different types of travel chairs and this is my favorite. It comes in a really nice compact case instead of a bag. And it sets up in less than a minute. Unlike those chairs with wires and tubes.

When you sit in it it’s like a recliner. Very relaxing with good bottom and back support. When you get up if you’re tall you’ll be fine. If you’re 5’ tall and try and get up just be careful it can tip forward. I’m planning to get more of these and keep them in the car for when ever I need a seat, or put in my backpack for a hike and stopping for a lunch, or even sitting by a campfire and making s’mores with a long stick. Get a few so your friends can join too!

Compact and portable camp chair

This chair is very compact and super easy to carry around. When packed it’s about 18 inches long and 4 inches wide. What is great is that the legs are built into the chair so they just slide out and snap into place. Takes less than 30 seconds to get it set up. It’s so easy to just toss this in the car and keep it with you at all times. Overall very nice quality and extremely portable.

Convenient Compact Portable Camp Chair with Easy Setup

This Compact Portable Camp Chair is designed for convenience, folding and unfolding as easily as an umbrella. With a metal frame and fabric seat pre-attached, no assembly effort is required. Though the backrest is relatively low compared to other camping chairs, sitting forward slightly allows for a comfortable posture. It folds into a compact size and includes a quality carry bag, making it travel-friendly and highly satisfying. The only downside is the price, which feels a bit high, hence a one-star deduction. Overall, an excellent product for on-the-go comfort.

Fairly well built, but note the 200lbs.

So, when looking at this first I didn’t notice the 200lb limit. I’ve never seen a camping chair with so low a limit (the lowest I’ve seen before was 225) and I wouldn’t push it. Even the small backpacking chairs I have support 330, and comfortably so.

The frame itself seems quite sturdy and could probably easily handle 250, but it’s the thin, thin fabric that’s going to rip if you push the weight limit. Might even be close at 200. This chair is really for a child or small adult.

At 5’8” 215lbs, I didn’t feel safe in this chair just testing it - so again, pay attention to that. Look, Americans are bigger people now. I’m not proud of this and 20 years ago this might have been a perfect adult chair. Maybe for the hiking crowd it still can be. YMMV.

Otherwise, it packs and folds very nice and the frame seems very strong. Assembly is a snap and so is folding it back. Took me literally 30 seconds to set up and 30 to put away. It is light and the padded case is nice. If it will work for you, it’s a portable and quick to set up chair.

Above average camping chair

This is a well-made chair. It comes with a nice, high quality carrying bag. The chair assembles in seconds by sliding and clicking the black metal legs. The fabric is double-stitched everywhere and there's also a cup phone holder to the left side. I have owned several foldable chairs and this is the best made I have encountered. Very highly recommended!

Small, sturdy, easy to deploy camping chair

The size of this chair was the main selling point for me. The smaller things pack down the more likely I am to want to bring it with. This chair packs into a very robust, high-quality case smaller than my next smallest camping chair. It is relatively heavy and dense, but that's the price of durable materials. You can pop this chair out in 30 seconds and have a place sit. It takes a bit of muscle to extend the back and legs out, but it does seem to get easier the more I use the chair. I am about 10 lbs over the chair's max weight limit but I feel like the chair can easily handle it. Even when I'm moving around in the chair and reaching for things I have zero concerns that the chair isn't going to support me. I can lean forward or back and the chair doesn't budge.

One bummer is that the case strap is really short. One of the stock images shows the case slung over a woman's shoulder with her arm apparently through the strap. There's no way this is happening in reality. The strap is just too short to hold it any other way than the way you would a briefcase without involving a 2nd strap (not included). It's a small complaint for an otherwise fantastic camping chair.

Lightweight yet sturdy

This Chair is a fantastic option for anyone who loves outdoor activities. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, thanks to the included carrying bag. The setup is quick and straightforward, allowing you to relax in no time. Despite its lightweight design, it feels sturdy and can comfortably support up to 200 lbs. The aluminum frame adds to its durability while keeping the weight down. I appreciate the black color, which gives it a sleek look.

Brilliant!

I'm delighted with the quality, comfort and ease of use of the 'Hike' the cheapest chair in the range. I'm 6ft, 200lb and knocking 70, and find it fits my needs almost perfectly. As others have mentioned, it isn't the lightest chair available, but being able to sit on it 30 seconds after pulling it out of your bag, and get on the bus or whatever 20 seconds after standing back up more than makes up for this. It's not a LazyBoy, but they're not very portable when all's said and done, and I can sit in this chair for a couple of hours or so in comfort at a festival, whilst birdwatching, waiting for a train, for my wife, etc. If you are, like me, blessed with knees that have retired due to age, motorbikes and inappropriate jumping as a 'yoof', it is easy to sit down and get up from the chair by grabbing either side of the seat material and using your arms to lower or push yourself up as required. I haven't tested it on a beach or in mud yet, but it doesn't seem to sink into soft surfaces like my other chairs do, which is a bonus. For those who have mentioned that the lock buttons are hard to push in, they do get easier but if you pull the end of the telescopic leg gently towards you as you push the button in it makes it easier. Highly recommended! I'm having to buy another as this one seems to have been commandeered by the aforementioned wife.
I can also commend the MTRVR support staff for fantastic customer service with and issue I had, and I've bought the 2nd chair which says it all really!
