Brilliant!

I'm delighted with the quality, comfort and ease of use of the 'Hike' the cheapest chair in the range. I'm 6ft, 200lb and knocking 70, and find it fits my needs almost perfectly. As others have mentioned, it isn't the lightest chair available, but being able to sit on it 30 seconds after pulling it out of your bag, and get on the bus or whatever 20 seconds after standing back up more than makes up for this. It's not a LazyBoy, but they're not very portable when all's said and done, and I can sit in this chair for a couple of hours or so in comfort at a festival, whilst birdwatching, waiting for a train, for my wife, etc. If you are, like me, blessed with knees that have retired due to age, motorbikes and inappropriate jumping as a 'yoof', it is easy to sit down and get up from the chair by grabbing either side of the seat material and using your arms to lower or push yourself up as required. I haven't tested it on a beach or in mud yet, but it doesn't seem to sink into soft surfaces like my other chairs do, which is a bonus. For those who have mentioned that the lock buttons are hard to push in, they do get easier but if you pull the end of the telescopic leg gently towards you as you push the button in it makes it easier. Highly recommended! I'm having to buy another as this one seems to have been commandeered by the aforementioned wife.
I can also commend the MTRVR support staff for fantastic customer service with and issue I had, and I've bought the 2nd chair which says it all really!

Surprisingly good, but a little tight

The quality on this is surprisingly good! It's on the heavy side, so don't expect to go back packing with this. But I got this for just throwing in the car. The instructions are a bit confusing, you have to extend all 4 arms. The front have 1 section/button, and the back have 2 sections/buttons. It was a bit hard to push the buttons and close it up, but there was a paper in the box that said it should get easier over time. The chair is a little tight, which makes it not as comfortable as others I've used. I also feel like the back isn't as high as others I've used either. The folding is nice and makes for a good, easy packing system. It also came with a nice storage bag, but has a strap on the actual chair where you can use it without the bag to save some weight and space. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Study little chair

This portable chair is quite the study little thing. I must say it wasn't what I was expecting. It's really small. For some perspective I am a 5' tall (fluffy 😊) woman. If you were too much taller than I, I think you'd be very uncomfortable. Likewise although it's made quite sturdier than expected maybe stay 10-15lbs under the 200lb weigh limit, just to be sure.

I think it would be absolutely perfect for youth in it's size and the ability to stay sturdy as they grow. I could see it holding up to my active boys when they were preteens.

Sturdy with some quirks

The quality of this chair is impressively good! It's a bit on the heavy side, so it's not ideal for backpacking, but it's perfect for keeping in the car for impromptu outings. The instructions were a tad confusing at first – you need to extend all four arms, with the front having one section/button and the back two sections/buttons. It was initially challenging to push the buttons and close it up, but a note included in the box mentioned that it should become easier over time.

The chair is a bit snug, which makes it less comfortable compared to others I've used, and the backrest isn't as high as I'd prefer. However, it folds nicely, making it easy to pack. It also comes with a handy storage bag, but there's a strap on the chair itself, so you can use it without the bag to save some weight and space. Overall, I'm satisfied with it.

Nice and sturdy

Comfy little chair, very compact. Comes in a nice case. Perfect for keeping in your trunk for when needed. There is a bit of a struggle setting it up but I'd still say it's a good piece to use when needed. There is no frame under the seat which makes it feel like you are floating which is very comfy.
