#Unique Design

From the anti-slip feet to the aerospace-grade aluminum frame, every part of the MTRVR Camping Light reflects engineering precision.
Strong, stable, and effortlessly portable—built for any outdoor adventure.

All-Terrain Stability

For better slip resistance and durability, MTRVR uses rubber with the same material as car tires to ensure the light's stability and comfort.
The tire-grade rubber feet grip firmly on grass, sand, or rocky ground. Whether you’re at the park, the beach, or the campsite, your light stays secure and comfortable.

high-strength Aluminum

Crafted from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy tubes, the frame delivers exceptional strength, stability, and long-term durability. This advanced material provides a higher safety margin, resisting bending and corrosion over years of use. Lightweight yet incredibly tough, it’s the reason MTRVR lights can confidently handle heavy loads.

Patented Hub System

Our exclusive patented hub with quick-pull buckle design makes folding and unfolding effortless. After retracting the telescopic tubes, a single pull of the buckle collapses the entire light in seconds. No complicated setup, no wasted time — just one smooth motion for packing up and moving on. It’s innovatively built for ultimate convenience and efficiency.

#Smart Engineering in Every Detail

From heat management to power design, every feature of the MTRVR Camping Light is crafted for reliability and convenience.
Each component works in harmony — keeping it cool, easy to recharge, and always ready to shine wherever your journey takes you.

Efficient Heat Dissipation

Designed with a ribbed cooling surface, the MTRVR Camping Light effectively disperses heat during extended use.
Unlike flat-top lamps that trap warmth, this precision-machined pattern allows air to circulate freely—keeping the lamp cool to touch and ensuring consistent brightness over time.

Universal USB-C Charging

Equipped with a standard USB Type-C connector, the MTRVR Camping Light supports wide compatibility with most chargers, power banks, and car adapters.
Its reversible plug design makes charging simple and efficient—no need to worry about direction or finding a specific cable.

Power Indicator Lights

The built-in LED indicators clearly display the remaining battery level and charging status at a glance.
Whether you’re preparing for a trip or using it outdoors at night, the intuitive light cues let you know exactly when it’s time to recharge—keeping your MTRVR Camping Light ready whenever you need it.

Sturdy bit of kit

This is quite a weighty yet sturdy light. We have so far used both for camping and in the garden, in an evening.
It’s extremely quick and easy to pop up and the weight of it means it won’t be blown or knocked over easily. I like the telescopic height adjustment - simply pull to the desired height.
Battery display is clear and there are three brightness settings which can be changed at the touch of a button.
Easily folds away and fits in to the neat bag for storage. This also makes it incredibly portable.
Excellent quality and build - would recommend!

Versatile, over engineered, premium quality

We took this car camping this weekend and found this to be an excellent lamp which was very useful around the campsite. My only issue is that I think for the high cost it really should have two lighting options. It has the bright white but it needs to have the warm glow for it to command such a high price.
However, I can forgive the price tag because it is so over engineered and extremely high quality. Anyone who is into camping gear / EDC will really appreciate the aesthetic and high end aesthetics and functionality of this lamp, just as i do.
It is weighty, it's not going to blow over and it's extremely rugged. It's really every bit as premium as I'd expect for the high price.
The light provided is strong and very bright. It's entirely suitable for it's purpose. I'd say it's pretty versatile, not just for car camping but suitable as emergency lighting or additional building site lighting.

Good quality but pricey camping light

The first thing that you will notice about this light is its weight. This is pretty heavy at 3kg and will be something to think about if you are looking to carry this in a back pack. The item does feel very well made. Just the look and feel of it tells you that this is a premium item.

This is a very nicely made camping light. It will also double up as something that you can use in a dark garden that doesn’t have lights for example. It’s very versatile. My first impressions are positive. The light comes in a carry bag and folds away into a compact size. The light came ready to use and was already charged. With a 20000mAh battery this is quite sizeable and will last for a while. This can be recharged via the standard USB C cable.

The light is very easy to operate it has a telescopic pole which allows you to adjust the height of the light, providing more control over the direction and area you want to illuminate. I also liked the adjustable brightness which you can have set at a bright light or a bit more subdued for relaxing by a campfire.

Overall I think this rechargeable camping light provides a powerful and versatile light for campers or for a dark garden. The high capacity battery, the adjustable brightness, and telescoping design are all useful.

Admittedly although this does feel like a premium item, at nearly £160 I do think its price is quite excessive for what you get. A quick look shows a big range for similar items with this one at the top of the price range. The price holding it back from receiving 5 stars.

Well constructed but very heavy

This is a really well made and solidly constructed outdoor camping light, but the most important thing to know about it is that it's very, very heavy.

Of course, that means it's lot likely to blow away or fall down when used outdoors, but it does mean that it's definitely not the kind of light you'd want to take on a hike. This is something for putting in the car or campervan when going on a camping holiday.

It has a nice carrying case and it's very easy to set up. Pull it out of the bag, undo the velcro that holds the legs together, fold them down and pull up the telescopic stand.

The light is nice and bright, although not overpowering. It's enough to illuminate a few chairs and a table for sitting outside at night. The bi-directional USB-C port means you can also use it to keep your phone topped up. The battery is big enough that you can get a decent charge and an evening's worth of lighting on the same charge.

In summary, it's a great outdoor light, but it's best for some specific uses. If you're staying in one spot, or just want some light for your patio or balcony, it's perfect. But I wouldn't recommend carrying around for long periods as it's just too heavy.

Amazing quality, versatile, multi use light.

This light has amazing build quality, has some hefty weight to it and gives off great light. The construction and materials is top notch! It has a massive 20000mah rechargeable battery which also doubles to charge your devices. It's dubbed a "camping light"and we'll certainly be using it caravan and camping, but it ain't for backpack camping. That's because of it's weight and I think that's so it won't blow over in winds, it's sleek design also makes it very stable. It's so versatile, giving off great downward light so as not to disturb others outdoors. The adjustable height and sturdy legs along with the rest of the construction means it can be used in many locations from on the ground to table tops, indoors and out as well as it's fully adjustable height. It really is very versatile. Very very happy with this!

Very bright light

There are a few things I really like about this light and a couple of question marks too. What impressed me most is the base of the light and how durable it feels. The main body of the light contains a 20,000mAh battery, which isn't that large. I have a power bank half the physical size of the light's main body that has the same capacity. The legs are wide and large, ensuring the light will not fall over, although a couple of the legs feel slightly loose until I move them and shake them a bit, at which point they finally lock into position. The light is very bright and covers a fairly large area. With such good brightness and coverage, this light would be suitable for many different uses.

My question is why the charging port and the switch button are placed on top of the main body. The manual has a long list of things that should not be done with the light and emphasizes being careful, particularly around water. The rubbery cover for the USB-C port is not perfect and requires some fiddling to press it deeply into the space dedicated to the charging port. I am just puzzled by the placement of these sensitive components in the most exposed area of the light.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this light. There are a couple of things that could have been done better, but overall, it will do the job perfectly.

Quite heavy and fairly expensive

The light came in its own carry bag and measured about 30 cm tall and 16 cm wide, though it weighed in at just over 2.6 kgs so it is quite heavy but then it is powered by a 20000 mAh battery. A Velcro strap around it keeps it from opening up, and once unsecured the feet can be pulled right out and back to allow it to firmly stand making a footprint of about 44 cm. The telescopic arm can then be pulled up to whatever convenient height is desired up to a maximum of just over 130 cm.

There is an on/off button on the base and a long press for 3 seconds turns the light on or off. When it is on it gives out a cool white light which can be dimmed to 3 different levels by touching the on/off button to provide 100% (9W), 70% (6W), and 30% (3W) of brightness. During the time the light is on, up to 4 green LED’s light up to show the level of charge remaining, each one indicating a 25% level. When it is fully charged the light can last for between 7 to 21 hours depending on the level of brightness being used.

There is a bidirectional USB type C port which can be used to recharge the light although very surprisingly no cable is provided. Whilst charging the green LED’s will flash and then become stable as the charge progresses. Being bidirectional it also means that light can be used as a power bank to recharge portable devices such as phones or tablets thus making it very useful in an emergency.

To fold the legs back there is a pin with a ring underneath the base and this needs to be first pulled to allow the legs to be moved back to their packed position.

It could make a very useful portable light when camping etc., although it is quite heavy and quite expensive compared to many rechargeable portable lights but does come with a large capacity battery which can be used a power bank.

Read review for comparison with the light that's in my pictures with this one.

Ok so, in the pictures with the red and green text, in one of them I have the MTRVR light on and the other telescopic light off. And in the other one it is just the opposite. Then I show that they can both still be used when the legs are folded up (or closed). And then in the other two pictures I just try and show that the smaller lantern's light on the top of it can be swiveled around, and that it can also be used as a flashlight, while the MTRVR light cannot do any of that.

I have also gathered up as much of the specs on these lanterns as I could for comparison. And so, here they are:

- Height Opened: MTRVR - 4 feet, 2.7 inches || Smaller Light - 3 feet
- Height Closed: MTRVR - 11.25 inches || Smaller Light - 9.75 inches
- Battery Capacity: MTRVR - 20,000mAh || Smaller Light - 10,000mAh
- Runtime: MTRVR - 7-21 hours || Smaller Light - 9-45 hours
- Charge Time: MTRVR - 6 hours || Smaller Light - 4.5 hours
- Lumens: MTRVR - doesn't say at all || Smaller Light - 450
- Bulb Color Temp: MTRVR - 6500K || Smaller Light - 1800K-6500K
- Weight: MTRVR - 5.52 pounds || Smaller Light - 1.44 pounds
- Waterproof: MTRVR - IP44 || Smaller Light - IPX5 (body) IPX7 (lamp head)
- Input: MTRVR - 5V/2a, 9V/2a, 12V/1.5a || Smaller Light - 5V/2a
- Output: MTRVR - 5V/2a || Smaller Light - 5V/3a

Another thing worth mentioning is that the MTRVR light does NOT come with a charging cable. Or at least, mine didn't. And the smaller light has magnets on the bottom for when the feet are opened. Also, there's no doubt that the MTRVR light is plenty sturdy due to it's weight. And the smaller light would probably tip over from a strong wind, right? Well, three metal spikes come with the smaller light too, so that you can at least secure it on the ground.

Ultimately though, the price of $180 (at the time of this review) is way too high for this lantern in my opinion. But even if it was much lower, I would still recommend the smaller lantern over this one. Well, if you're reading this, thanks for checking out my review. I just hope it was helpful in some way. And if it wasn't, I'm sorry that I wasted your time.

One VERY Sturdy light!

The light is really bright. See the photo that has the light on at its highest setting with a full charge. The light can also be compressed down to about 18" tall which would make a great table lamp at the camp site.
The legs are heavy duty and snap together firmly so you do not have to worry about the unit tipping over. I was a bit disappointed that a charger was not included, however, the listing did not state one was included so that's my bad. Just know that if you order this you will need to buy a charger if you do not already have one.

Very sturdy and long-lasting camp light

I have a light that’s similar in style to this one, although it’s nowhere near as sturdy or as well built as this one and also has a smaller battery capacity. I have an MTRVR chair and portable table and they’ve both been great to use, so I figured I’d try their camping light. It actually uses the same base as their chair, which can support over 600lbs, so it’s very sturdy with a locking metal base. The telescoping mechanism is easy to use and seems to reach a bit higher than my old light - fully extended it makes for the perfect light to go with my chair and table. It’s also capable of getting quite bright, more than bright enough for outdoor or campsite use and the battery lasts quite awhile of continuous use. I think I’ve used it for over 3 hours and it still shows 75% battery remaining. It comes with a very nice zippered carrying case as well which I appreciate. So far it’s been a great light and will be a mainstay at my campsite over the summer.

Awesome!

This light is amazing! I really like that it looks like something from a sci fi movie. It's like something you'd see at the base camp of a new planet that's being explored. It's got some heft to it. It's definitely a light for the campsite, not so much for backpacking. Even though it's heavy, it folds down into a small size and easily fits into the included carrying case. Really lights up a large area well on all 3 brightness settings. When it's extended, it's still shorter than your average adult human, so the light isn't in your eyes, since the top's not lit. I really look forward to standing this up by my grill for night grilling. I tend to not do that often, since we don't have lights on our back deck and it's a pain to hang some up. This lantern has a waterproof rating that should be good for moderate rain. The plug over the USB port is watertight, but I worry a little about the exposed power button which looks like it leaves room for water to seep in. If I use this in really bad weather, the flat top of the light would actually be good to balance some kind of cover. This also works as a power bank, but the one port is both input and output, so if I'm in the wild and don't have a good power source, and I want to charge with another power bank, my understanding is that it'll be random as far as which battery is pulling power from which (if I'm charging USB-C to USB-C).

My only real knock is that this didn't come with a charging cord. But it uses USB-C, and I have a million of those.

I also must mention that I had a problem with my first light. Since I received it as part of the Vine program, returning it to Amazon was not an option. But I reached out to MTRVR customer service and they hooked me up with a new lantern right away. They have a really good website and they were easy to contact.

Wow!

I have waited a while to review this and I can honestly say I have given it a run for it's money and this is a brilliant product. First up it comes in a reasonably small box and has a lovely carrying bag which is strong and sturdy and fits nicely in my boot. It is certainly small enough to carry that's for sure. In a nutshell yes this is just a light, but it seems to be the best possible version of this and then some! It is super sturdy and extends up to be a much taller light. It is rechargeable which is amazing, and so far I have only charged it once and had plenty of use out of it. On the plus side (again a brilliant feature) once charged the light can be on and you can use the same plug to charge your phone in. I live in a flat so storage is limited and this takes up no room at all. We can easily carry this down to our garage (which we have done twice now) for decent light. The light throw illuminates the whole garage no problem. I also attended a barbecue where the light was fading fast and some of the exterior lights weren't quite cutting it. Luckily the light was in the boot of my car and voila! The only downside if you are really looking for one is that it may be a little on the heavy side for some people where weight is an issue. For me this is a very well made product that really performs and I think is worth every single penny. The charge took me around 6 hours but I still have a small amount left after the BBQ evening for around and hour and two trips to the garage. A very decent bit of kit

Great for Dark Areas

We took this on a recent camping trip where we had little to no electricity. So, during the day we would charge up the necessities for the nighttime. This light, though a little heavier than expected, did right by us. It TOTALLY lit up our whole immediate campground area - but not in an obnoxious way. It let us spend several hours together in the evenings cooking, playing games at the picnic table, etc. The height adjustability was especially helpful.

Overpriced

The quality and brightness of this lantern is not an issue, in fact I love both of those aspects. But for the price, I can't recommend something this heavy and bulky.

Brilliant piece of engineering with real professional feel, great illumination and features.

Wow, first thing I have to say here, this thing is a beast of a unit. I really feel in describing it I have to use the term over-constructed as that is how I feel about it, but in a good way if you are looking for something robust and extremely well made.

I do feel it is somewhat expensive for what it is, you can certainly get much cheaper hanging solutions for outdoor lighting, but if you are looking for a telescopic solution like this then I think this would take some beating.

It is a heavy unit so if you're planning on using it for fishing etc. check the weight details as it isn't something I would like to be carrying too far. We mainly got this to use as garden lighting, used on top of the table under the gazebo it really is brilliant, very bright and a nice area of light with full surround area. It's especially nice the way you can use the USBC charge port to also charge devices such as mobile phones, really handy and works great when on a table like we are using it.

It comes with its own carry bag which is equally well made, I can't emphasize enough just how well engineered it all fells, and the way the legs fold out etc. it really does feel like a proper professional piece of equipment.

Overall, if you are happy with the high price and the unit weight, you can't go wrong here, built to last, great illumination and a nice long charge time. 5 stars.

Great build quality but heavy

Item received in good condition in a branded brown box. The first thing you will really notice about this light is that it is heavy in weight. It really is a trade off with some very good high quality build but with it comes a heavy piece of kit. If you are hitting the mountains and wild camping this is no good for you as its too bulky and heavy despite being very useful. If you are camping at a campsite and have driven your kit there then its ideal and perfect for this type of set up.

The telescopic extender works great and you can just set this to the height you are comfortable at. The base works very well and gives this some good solid stability. We have just returned from a caravan holiday where we used this and it was ideal for sitting out on the evening and to have some light to sit around whilst chatting and drinking was great. Being able to charge your phone off it at the same time is even more of a bonus and part of its clever design.

My overall thoughts are that this is a great piece of kit for glamping, camping at a site or even for motorhome use, for serious wild campers, just too bulky and heavy.

Bright and versatile

This is a great light to use for a variety of purposes, it is great for camping but it's pretty heavy so I'd only use it then if I had the car nearby. I personally like to keep this in the car in case of a break down etc. The telescopic pole and stand are very sturdy and the added power bank function is very handy. I think this is a great bit of kit if you're willing to spend a little more.

Good, but at what cost?

£160 feels steep for this, honestly. Yes, it's a cool light. The dimming, the telescopic pole and the charging other devices is pretty cool, and it does it well. It just... doesn't feel like a £160 light. Firstly, it's HEAVY. I know the pictures show it tied carefree to a backpack, but that's going to hurt doing that. No thank you from me. Definitely one to keep in the car, or caravan. Also, it's just kind of, well, cheap not to come with a charging cable. Why? Why would you leave it out?

it's relatively robustly built, but does slightly tilt over to the side when fully extended. The on button takes a little bit of faith that it's going to turn on, but does work. The light is bright enough - 8 people could read around a patio table on 2/3 brightness setting. 1/3 is better for atmospheric around the campfire kind of talking.

Overall, it does the job, and there's nothing specifically *wrong* with it, per se, I suppose I was just quite shocked to check the list price and discover this is RRP at £160. It just doesn't feel like that to me.
